IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living comes to the end of its journey with further opportunities ahead
The Japan Furniture Industry Development Association (JFA) and Messe Frankfurt Japan have announced the termination of their contract to co-organise IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living, which was last held earlier this year in October. The fair was launched in 1979 by the JFA as the International Furniture Fair Tokyo. Messe Frankfurt Japan joined as a co-organiser in 2008, and renamed the fair to IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living, placing an additional focus on interior design.
IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living closed its doors after three successful days of business
IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living has wrapped up three successful days of business at Tokyo Big Sight’s South Halls. From 18 – 20 October 2021, a total of 11,147 visitors found their way to the fairground. Assembling again for the first time since the pandemic began, 300 exhibitors (domestic: 286, overseas: 14) from five different countries and regions welcomed visitors with an extensive and diverse selection of products in 10,390 sqm of gross exhibition space.

Presenting over 300 of the finest exhibitors, mainly from Japan, IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living will be held from 18 – 20 October 2021 at the Tokyo Big Sight South halls. Returning after a hiatus in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living is a key platform for professional buyers, architects and those engaged in domestic and international contract business. A wide range of exhibitors and their products for the entire living space, such as furniture manufacturers from all over Japan, textiles, tableware, design sundries, daily necessities, ethical products, and construction materials, will gather under one roof.

The dates are set: IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living is welcoming exhibitor registration for its 2021 edition, to be held from 18 – 20 October 2021 in the South Halls of Tokyo Big Sight. The dedicated fair for interior design is once again set to attract not only retail buyers but also visitors from design and architecture offices, commercial facilities, and other contract businesses. The 2019 edition welcomed 352 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions as well as 16,016 visitors from 34 countries and regions, receiving much positive feedback for its increased focus on contract business.
IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living 2020 deferred to 2021
Due to the severe economic impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and travel restrictions effecting Japan and the rest of the world, Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd has made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming edition of IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living. Originally scheduled to take place from 28 – 30 October 2020, the fair will now defer to autumn 2021.

IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living wrapped up three successful days of business at Tokyo Big Sight’s South Halls. From 20 – 22 November 2019, a total of 16,016 visitors from 34 countries found their way to the fairground. 352 exhibitors from 14 different countries and regions (domestic: 259, overseas: 93) welcomed them with an extensive and diverse product offer. The show’s focus theme – contract business – as well as the furniture production pavilions and interior decoration materials and accessories area represented an ideal opportunity to discover new products and generate fresh ideas. In addition, the special showcase “Office-Up” ended on a high note.

IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living, to be held from 20 – 22 November 2019 at Tokyo Big Sight, has started inviting exhibitors for its upcoming edition. The previous show welcomed 424 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions and 17,574 visitors from 33 countries and regions and received much positive feedback by focusing even stronger on contract business. With the upcoming Tokyo Olympics 2020, IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living will move to the South halls of Tokyo Big Sight.
Six percent more visitors at IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living
One of Japan’s leading interior and design events, which took place from 14 – 16 November 2018 at Tokyo Big Sight’s West halls, closed with great success. IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living attracted a total of 17,574 visitors – a six percent increase on the previous year. 424 exhibitors (Japan 342, Overseas 82) from 15 countries and regions displayed their latest products and trend information across the show.

The 2018 edition of IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living starts next week from 14 – 16 November at Tokyo Big Sight in West Halls 1, 2 and the Atrium, welcoming 423 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions (Domestic: 342, Overseas: 81).

IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living ended with significant success from 20 – 22 November 2017 in the West Hall 1, 3, 4 and the Atrium at Tokyo Big Sight. In total, 16,654 buyers from 29 countries made their way to Tokyo for the show, and enjoyed the quality presentation made by 472 exhibitors (domestic: 348, overseas: 124) from 19 countries and regions. A diverse range of products were presented during the fair, such as quality furniture, lighting, textiles and interior materials for food preparation and presentation, kitchenware, equipment and gift items, highlighting the latest trends of the industry.
