IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living comes to the end of its journey with further opportunities ahead
The Japan Furniture Industry Development Association (JFA) and Messe Frankfurt Japan have announced the termination of their contract to co-organise IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living, which was last held earlier this year in October. The fair was launched in 1979 by the JFA as the International Furniture Fair Tokyo. Messe Frankfurt Japan joined as a co-organiser in 2008, and renamed the fair to IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living, placing an additional focus on interior design.

Presenting over 300 of the finest exhibitors, mainly from Japan, IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living will be held from 18 – 20 October 2021 at the Tokyo Big Sight South halls. Returning after a hiatus in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living is a key platform for professional buyers, architects and those engaged in domestic and international contract business. A wide range of exhibitors and their products for the entire living space, such as furniture manufacturers from all over Japan, textiles, tableware, design sundries, daily necessities, ethical products, and construction materials, will gather under one roof.
IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living set for a highly anticipated return in October 2021
The dates are set: IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living is welcoming exhibitor registration for its 2021 edition, to be held from 18 – 20 October 2021 in the South Halls of Tokyo Big Sight. The dedicated fair for interior design is once again set to attract not only retail buyers but also visitors from design and architecture offices, commercial facilities, and other contract businesses. The 2019 edition welcomed 352 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions as well as 16,016 visitors from 34 countries and regions, receiving much positive feedback for its increased focus on contract business.
IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living 2020 deferred to 2021
Due to the severe economic impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and travel restrictions effecting Japan and the rest of the world, Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd has made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming edition of IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living. Originally scheduled to take place from 28 – 30 October 2020, the fair will now defer to autumn 2021.
